Teulon-Hunter Memorial Hospital

Authorized Dealer Tri-Star Automation installed a Reliable Controls building automation system during a retrofit of Teulon-Hunter Memorial Hospital.

Existing pneumatic controls needed to remain operational during the installation, so Tri-Star Automation interlocked them with the new building automation system. With Reliable Controls, facility operators gained improved control of the facility and the ability to identify mechanical equipment in need of repair or replacement.

The networked hardware included a dial-up modem, four air-handling units, makeup air units, chilled water cooling, electric heat, a chiller, a blood-bank monitor, three domestic hot water circulation pumps, temperature monitoring, and glycol heat recovery. Tri-Star Automation was able to help Teulon-Memorial achieve energy savings through on-demand ventilation and a new economizer. Service requests were reduced by 75 percent.
