Victoria, BC, Canada – Reliable Controls has expanded into a new floor of office space in Victoria.
In the third quarter of 2018, Reliable Controls outgrew its head office building on Hallowell Road and leased some additional space nearby on Garbally Road. The company’s software developers have been based in this third-floor office for well over a year now—although many are currently working from home due to COVID-19. As a result of continued growth, Reliable Controls is thrilled to announce that renovations of a new floor in the Garbally Road building are finally complete.
“The second floor is an extension of the third and will be used primarily by our Research and Development team,” says system architect Chris Howard. “By treating the space as an extension of the third floor, we were able to do things like provide additional meeting spaces, a home for our Information Technology department, an enlarged lunchroom, and a gym.”
The renovated second floor also includes a test lab that allows the System QA team to test every new controller and firmware version with every old controller to ensure backward compatibility.
The newly renovated second floor is controlled with a Reliable Controls system that includes 13
MACH-ProLight™ advanced lighting controllers with relays and switches, 13 powerful MACH-ProView™ LCD controllers, 16 SPACE-Sensor™ EPD devices, 16 SMART-Sensor™ Temperature devices, and one MACH-ProCom™ controller. Facility managers use browser-based RC-WebView® software to efficiently manage the space and RC-Reporter® to extract intelligence from building data and improve operational efficiency.
The Garbally Road office is designed to showcase the Reliable Controls Art of Building Sustainability—a road map to achieving sustainability in the built environment.
