Intent |
To avoid the development of inappropriate sites and reduce the environmental impact from the location of a building on a site

Requirements |
|
Do not develop buildings, hardscape, roads or parking areas on portions of sites that meet any of the following criteria:
- Prime farmland such as provincial agricultural or forest land reserve
- Previously undeveloped land whose elevation is less than 1.5 m (5 ft) above 100-year flood, or 0.9 m (3 ft) above 200-year flood
- Land specifically identified as habitat for rare or endangered species
- Land within 30.5 m (100 ft) of any wetlands
- Land that prior to acquisition for the project was public parkland, unless traded for equal or better land
